[00:00.82] |
Once upon a time, |
[00:04.56] |
the two greatest circus performers in the world. |
[00:07.95] |
An escapologist, who could escape from any lock that was ever invented, |
[00:13.56] |
and an acrobat, who was so skilled it seemed as if she could actually fly. |
[00:20.21] |
Fell in love and got married. |
[00:23.38] |
They performed some of the most incredible stunts together that anyone had ever seen. |
[00:29.67] |
And people would come for miles around, kings, queens, celebrities and astronauts. |
[00:39.24] |
And not just to see their skills but also to see their love for each other, |
[00:44.06] |
which was so deep that it was said that cats would purr as they passed them, |
[00:49.22] |
and dogs would weep with joy. |
[00:53.40] |
They moved into a beautiful old house on the edge of town |
[00:58.16] |
and in the evenings they would walk and take the air. |
[01:01.34] |
And each night the children of the town would wait in anticipation, |
[01:06.20] |
hoping for a glimpse of the shining white scarf that the acrobat always wore. |
[01:12.44] |
For then they knew they had only to cry“Tricks tricks!” |
[01:17.42] |
And the great performers would instantly oblige with the most spectacular show just for them. |
[01:24.14] |
But although they loved each other, |
[01:27.79] |
Although they were famous and everyone loves them, |
[01:31.13] |
They were sad. |
[01:32.88] |
(We have everything...) |
[01:35.95] |
“We have everything the would has to offer”says the wife |
[01:39.13] |
(We have everything...) |
[01:41.87] |
“but we do not have the one thing in the would we want most” |
[01:46.59] |
(but the one thing...) |
[01:49.65] |
“we do not have child” |
[01:51.52] |
(Patience my love...) |
[01:53.60] |
“Patience my love.”the husband replied, |
[01:56.41] |
“time is on our side, even times loves us.” |
[01:59.56] |
Aw Matilda... |
[02:01.05] |
But time is the one thing no-one is master of. |
[02:05.04] |
And as time passed they grew quite old and still they have no child. |
[02:11.67] |
At night they listened to the silence of their big empty house |
[02:16.06] |
and they would imagine how beautiful it could be |
[02:18.91] |
if it is filled with a sounds of a child playing. |
[02:22.20] |
Matilda,this is very sad. |
[02:23.90] |
Do you want me to stop? |
[02:24.80] |
Don’t you dare! |
[02:26.46] |
Their sadness overwhelmed them and drew them on to ever more dangerous feats. |
[02:31.37] |
As they work became the only place they could escape the inescapable tragedy of their lives! |
[02:41.13] |
And so it was they decided to perform the most dangerous feat ever known to man! |
[02:47.63] |
“It is called...” |
[02:49.82] |
said the husband, announcing the event to the world’s press, |
[02:52.85] |
who had gathered to listen with bated breath. |
[02:56.54] |
“The Burning Woman Hurling Through the Air, |
[03:01.25] |
with Dynamite in Her Hair, |
[03:04.38] |
over Sharp and Spiky Objects, |
[03:07.42] |
Caught by the Man Locked in a Cage, |
[03:10.19] |
and it is the most dangerous feat, ever known to man!” |
[03:27.15] |
“It is our destiny”said the wife ,smiling sadly and slipping her hand into his. |
[03:34.30] |
“it is where the loneliness of life has led us.” |
